There's just one problem...

You feel like you're doing this on your own.

  • You're teaching at a school that doesn't fully understand DAP
  • You can't get the rest of the teaching team onboard to really believe in relationship building and meaningful interactions

  • The culture of the school paints the children as "bad" rather than looking at the real problems.

  • There are unrealistic expectations of young children.

  • Families are complaining that their children will be behind if you don't do XYZ.

Here's the truth:

It doesn't have to be this way

You can have the language and knowledge you need to confidently speak about Developmentally Appropriate Practice. You can have a firm understanding of how DAP supports the development of a child as well as how it supports the family. You can implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum even if you are tied to using a theme-based curriculum.

Meet me

Hi, I'm Jean-Mari

A 27-year advocate, educator, and administrator in early childhood education. With a proven track record of transforming programs into high-quality, developmentally appropriate environments, I’m here to support and mentor you on your journey. My experience includes guiding several programs through the NAEYC accreditation process, teaching early childhood courses at the college level, and mentoring teachers and administrators across the field.

I started the EC.POV because I feel that through support and mentorship I can directly affect change in classrooms/programs and ultimately that change positively affects the children educators serve.  Just like we do with children, I meet each teacher where they are in their journey to becoming developmentally appropriate.

Getting my mentorship is possible for you too!
